At Online Talk Therapies, I offer a safe, supportive remote space for individual counselling to help you navigate life’s challenges.
Counselling Approach
My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, which means I prioritise creating a safe, non-judgemental, and empathetic space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should move at a pace that feels right for you.
I also integrate a range of evidence-based techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including Socratic questioning to help explore and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. I also use elements of Motivational Interviewing to support behaviour change and decision-making, particularly where ambivalence or uncertainty may be present.
Mindfulness-based strategies may also be incorporated where appropriate, to help build awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in a grounded and compassionate way.
This integrative and collaborative approach allows the work to be tailored to your individual needs, goals, and preferences.
Issues I can support you with
I can provide support with a wide variety of issues including anxiety and stress, anger management, low mood and depression, self esteem issues, grief and loss, life transitions, eating disorders and body image issues, relationship difficulties and family conflicts, healing from difficult past experiences.
You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis or problem – therapy is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves or navigate life’s challenges.
